Happy Friday, Lovelies! This week marked 32 weeks pregnant. Time is flying by. Today I’m sharing with you my 32-week bumpdate. It’s been a few weeks since I shared any updates because life has been absolutely crazy. I really hope you enjoy this format. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom as I share some fun announcements!
I seriously can’t believe today is Friday and this week is over. Where has this week gone? I feel like I have been so behind and haven’t accomplished anything, which is a terrible feeling for me. I spent all day Monday doing laundry, washing bedding, and picking up our house. Tuesday I traveled to Dayton where my work office is and then had an appointment with Maternal Fetal Medicine. Tuesday evening, Brad and I went to the next town over as they were having their taste of the town. This is where all of the town’s restaurants and businesses that serve any type of food come together and all of the locals can try their food/dessert/treats. Wednesday was another work day that was interrupted by another doctor’s appointment. This was just my 2-week checkup with my OB.
I finished off the week working at my day job, writing blog posts, brainstorming a few new projects I have in my mind, and picking up our house. I’m seriously so glad I have today off. My sister and I are hanging poolside for a much-needed girls day.
How far along?
32 weeks & 2 days
Size of the baby?
Weight of baby?
5 lbs 6 oz. We had an ultrasound this week with a specialist due to the baby measuring consistently 3 weeks big. The Ultrasound Tech stated that there is an error rating on the estimated weight of the baby and the actual weight could be +/- 13 ounces. According to the app we’ve been using to track the baby’s development, Baby B should be 18 inches and 4 pounds.
My total weight gain?
40 pounds give or take a few. I don’t remember my starting weight.
-Baby is busy sucking his/her thumb and sprouting hair on his/her head.
-Baby has also rotated into the birthing position.
-At this point, our baby is practicing breathing and “swimming” like crazy. (I actually got to watch the baby practice breathing during our ultrasound. Seriously, so cool!)
-Our baby is still busy packing on the pounds and has developed a full set of both fingernails and toenails.
Yes, lots, unfortunately! My body grew so quickly and I feel like there is no more room for Baby B.
Living in them, although I’m much more comfortable in a pair of maternity under-the-belly athletic capris and sports bras. Check out my go-to maternity outfit.
Still unknown. Brad and I decided we didn’t want to find out the gender
Baby is crazy active! I love watching the baby roll and kick my stomach. It’s the coolest thing to watch. Brad also can’t believe how active our baby is.
What’s sleep? My insomnia is bad and I’m probably getting 5-6 hours of sleep during the week. For some reason, the weekends are the worst. The last couple Saturdays I only slept for 3-4 hours.
Sweets. I still can’t get enough sweets. I’m really loving this cake from the Pioneer Woman (just the cake in a bundt pan with fresh cut strawberries and whipped cream on top). Ice cream is a must too.
Contractions, pelvic pressure, swelling, burning pain under my right rib (this is where the baby is), and some back pain.
High of the Week:
There’s been a couple. First being that we watched Brad’s cousin come in 7th at State in the discus. It was so cool to watch. The Troy Strawberry Festival was this weekend and I managed to get lots of tasty strawberry treats. We also got the baby’s hospital bag and the diaper bag packed. I just need to finish mine this weekend and we are already for whenever Baby B makes his/her arrival!
Low of the Week:
The exhaustion is back. I’m really needing my mid-afternoon/lunch break nap, unfortunately, I’ve just been too busy to take one. No matter how tired I am during the day, I still can’t fall asleep until 11 or 12:00 at night.
As I mentioned above, I have today off and I am so loving it! This evening Brad, my sister, and I are heading back to my hometown for a festival. My dad is running the 5K at the festival and there are going to be lots of food trucks. The rest of the weekend is going to be spent relaxing, finishing my baby shower thank you cards, and working on a few small house projects I’m hoping to get done before Baby B.
