Happy October, friends! Can you believe we are in the 10th month of 2018? This year has completely flown by, and while I’m not complaining, I can’t believe today is the first day of October. There’s no denying that October is my favorite month-it brings cooler temperatures, warm colors, falling leaves, pumpkin everything, and of course, my birthday. Since October is the best month, here are 12 October activities to do alone, with your significant other, family, and friends. Plus, take a peek at our trip to the pumpkin patch.
12 October Activities:
+ Find a local pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkins.
+ Go to your local high school and watch a football game under the lights.
+ Have a bonfire and make s’mores.
+ Visit an apple orchard and pick some apples. Then go home and make a delicious pie and applesauce.
+ Throw a Halloween party. Have everyone come dressed in a costume, bob for apples, and do all things spooky.
+ Go on a hayride and check out the gorgeous fall foliage.
+ Visit a farm to feed and pet the animals.
+ Wear your favorite fall outfit and go wine tasting at a local winery.
+ Watch your favorite NCAA/NFL football team. While you’re watching throw a tailgate party with delicious game day treats and during halftime play two-hand touch football.
+ Get lost in a corn maze, or at least psych out your friends, S.O., or family into thinking you are lost.
+ Cuddle up on the couch and have a scary movie night filled with popcorn.
+ Rent a cabin in the woods. This is a great way to hike through the gorgeous foliage, curl up next to a fire, and soak in the cool fall air.

Last weekend, Brad and I loaded up Henry and went to a local farm that is known for their pumpkin patch, apple orchard, farm animal petting zoo, and hayride through their gorgeous property. With the help of my sister, she was able to capture mine and Henry’s first trip to this farm. The 4 of us had so much fun picking pumpkins, riding the horse-drawn hayride, petting the goats, sheep, and cows. We were able to cross 3 activities off of our 12 October activities list. Soon we will be crossing off more. Will you?
