Happy Friday, babes! Summer is right around the corner, is your closet ready? Mine is not ready AT ALL. Last year I was 8 and 9 months pregnant so I lived in the comfiest clothes possible. I’m still not at my pre-baby size (but I’m oh so close), which means nothing fits me. I’ve been so busy trying to find pieces to add to my closet for this summer. Since I’ve been doing all of the research, I decided to bring you 101 budget-friendly summer fashion pieces that will have you wanting to update your wardrobe. Now, I’m definitely not saying go out and buy all of the pieces but I’ve compiled a great list for everyone.
101 Budget-Friendly Summer Fashion Pieces:
There are SO many summer tops that are so cute and stylish. Some trends I’m loving are button ups, stripes, and of course, floral. Button ups are great on their own or to throw on top of a swim suit. Skinny stripes are also super fun. Since Memorial Day and Independance Day are both in the summer, what is more Americana than stripes?
Another warm weather gimme are dresses! Dresses come in so many shapes, styles, and colors. If you want a more conservative options, midi and maxi dresses are perfect options. This year, I’m really loving midi dresses because they can be worn so many ways such as with sneakers, espadrilles, sandals, wedges, and heels. To go along with the trend I’m loving for tops, button details are super popular for dresses.
Shorts are the obvious option when it comes to summer bottoms, however, there are more options. Soft pants are great for the summer because they’re obviously soft but they are also chic and comfortable. I love linen and paperbag pants for spring and summer evenings. Bermuda shorts are another summer bottoms that I’m loving. They’re more of a modest option but can still be styled in super cute ways. If you’d like to see a post on how to style bermuda shorts, let me know in the comments below. Skirts and skorts are also super cute! I love that skorts are making a comeback!
Rompers & Jumpsuits //
Like everything else, rompers and jumpsuits can be as casual as can be or as dressy as you want to make them. Growing up my Grandma used to wear a strapless terry cloth romper and I thought it was the most stylish outfit. So I really love comfy rompers for summer, they’re so perfect for daily wear.
Next up, shoes! Step aside diamonds, shoes are a girl’s best friend. Sandals are the obvious option for summer but definitely expand your options. Espadrilles and sneakers are fun options. If you are anything like us, we walk everywhere in the summer. Having comfortable shoes that are still super adorable are essential, which is why I love sneakers and espadrilles.
Summer brings out so many cute accessories. Hats and handbags are always my favorite ways to accessorize, especially straw hats and bags. I don’t know what it is about them that just scream spring. Baseball hats are another perfect accessory. Summer means going to the pool and sweating like crazy, so who the heck wants to do their hair every day. Throwing on a cute baseball hat and throwing your hair up in a messy bun is the best summer hairstyle, at least in my opinion.
I hope this post helped you find some inspiration, or pieces, for summer! While some of these items not be budget-friendly summer fashion pieces for some people, the stores that I’ve chosen the items from run fantastic sales. A lot of these pieces have made their way to my shopping cart for our Hilton Head vacation. I don’t know about you but I am so ready for warm, sunny days that consist of me sitting outside, soaking up sunshine, and sipping on lemonade.
