Happy Fall! Anybody else immediately transition to fall as soon as the calendar hits September 1? I mean, let’s be honest, my home has been decorated for a solid 2 weeks and I’m completely okay with it. Life is busy, so I choose to decorate when I have time rather than what the calendar says. Plus, fall decor, fall colors, and fall scents just make me happier. Since we are talking about fall, let’s talk fall essentials. Today I’m going to be sharing with you my favorite fall essentials that you should consider owning. From sweaters, pants, decor, and cute mugs, this post will have you from beach vibes to pumpkin spice latte in a matter of minutes.
Denim should be a closet staple no matter the season, but especially in the fall #hellodenimondenim. My denim must-haves include a go-to pair of skinny jeans, perfectly distressed tomgirl jeans, black denim (points if it’s distressed), a comfy denim shirt, and a versatile, every season denim jacket. I’ve linked some of my favorites and all of them are under $75 (with the majority under $X0).
Sweaters & Cardigans //
Fall is all about the weather getting colder. As the temps drop, adding layers is what it’s all about. I’m a big believer in oversized sweaters. Not only are they comfortable but they can be dressed up or dressed down. Cardigans are another closet staple as they can be worn with just about anything.
Graphic Tees //
Graphic tees are definitely a fall essential, especially when layered under a cardigan. I’ve found some adorable tees that would make the perfect addition to your wardrobe. When picking a fall graphic tee, think pumpkins, cute sayings, and more pumpkins.
Fall Shoes //
Fall shoes = closed-toe shoes. Time to stop worrying about having perfectly pedicured toes. Some fall shoes to try this season include mules, sneakers, booties, riding boots, and over-the-knee boots. I’ve found some of my favorites that are under $75.
Cold Gear //
Fall means cooler weather is approaching. It’s time to stock up on all of your cold gear essentials- light-weight jackets, teddy jackets, vests, beanies, scarves, and fun jackets like leather, moto, and courdoroy. Don’t forget when you are shopping for these items to have fun with them, too, by trying a fun color or even a print that’s instyle, such as camo and cheetah.
Long-Sleeve Tops //
Long-sleeve tops are super essential as the weather gets colder. While summer is transitioning into fall, wearing a long-sleeve and shorts is a great way to transition your wardrobe to fall. Then by the time the weather is cooler, you can layer your long-sleeve tops with vests, cardigans, and super cute jackets. I’m a huge fan of the front-tie henley tops.
Fall Themed Mugs //
PSL season calls for super cute mugs to drink out of. I’m a huge fan of Sweet Mint Handmade Goods mugs. I stocked up on a bunch of her fall mugs at the beginning of August and I highly recommend purchasing your new fall mug from her. I’m also sharing some others that are super cute too!
Fall Scented Candles //
Hello, you can’t have a fall essentials list without fall scented candles. This basic witch has been burning her fall candles since the middle of August. By the time the calendar hits August 15, I’m so over summer and so ready for fall. Since the weather never cooperates, I just pretend it’s fall by lighting fall scented candles, wearing cardigans and leggings, while the a/c blasts because it’s 95 degrees outside. I’m sure my neighbors think I’m crazy when I walk out to get the mail in my fall outfit.
The perfect fall outfit isn’t complete without the best fall accessories. Wool hats, stylish belts, and animal print accessories are all the rage this season. Hats are my BFF and I’ll definitely be rocking quite a few different ones this season.
Cozy Blankets //
Fall is the season for all things cozy. You can’t have cozy without blankets. What else are you going to snuggle under while watching Hocus Pocus for the 1 millionth time. Confession time- I’ve never seen Hocus Pocus and my bestie is obsessed with it. I’ve been trying to watch it for the past 2 years and still haven’t managed to watch it. Are you a Hocus Pocus fan? Anyways, I’ve linked some great, cozy blankets that are perfect to cuddle under and are super cute. There’s also a super affordable blanket ladder to hang your new throws on.
